Frequently Asked Maternity Questions

You may be wondering a few things

What is included in a Maternity session?

The sessions can vary slightly based on what the focus is but nearly all sessions include:
  •  Professional makeup + hair styling for one hour
  • Wardrobe support
  • Online gallery
  • Tailored posing support
  • In-person design and ordering appointment so your images don't just live in your computer or phone
  • A spacious and beautifully designed studio for your comfort with amenities galore!

How much can i expect to spend on my session?

To secure your date a non-refundable session fee reserves your session.

After your session, I will send over sneak peeks within the first week and finalize images after receiving film scans which can take an additional week. We will meet to review your images either in person or via zoom. From here we will choose your artwork either film prints, an enlarged photo framed or an album.

$395 secures your session, and expect to spend an additional $250-$500 for physical items.

All digital images will be made available to you after this second purchase.

How can i make the most of my photos?

If I haven't expressed well by now, I am a physical photographer. I want you to walk away with a physical experience and tangible products. I do not believe images we spend so much time and effort to create, including the fact you are doing the hardest work of growing life - should be collecting digital dust after a month or two on your phone or computer.

Images should be felt and seen. Displaying this work as art is the goal. Remembering the strength and beauty you posses and reflecting with your child as they grow is important. You will only look like this briefly and sometimes be lucky to experience it multiple times.

Most maternity sessions will order a framed enlarged print to hang in the nursery or a film box of matted prints housed in a beautiful linen or glass box. Pairing these prints with a newborn print. Albums are also perfect.

What is your editing style?

My editing style is close to true to color, or true to life meaning I render my images as close as possible to how you saw and experienced it the day of.

I also edit my digitals to match my film or look more film-like. Meaning you will see soft grain and softer colors versus the harsh sharpness and over bold colors digitals can give.

Editorial focused means I capture moments and movements that leave you feeling what you see. If you enjoy my portfolio, you will enjoy your images you receive as I edit exactly how you see in my portfolio.

When should I schedule my session?

I think a great maternity shoot can fall anywhere from week 25 - week 35. Earlier for multiple babies in belly. Your belly should be popped and prominent but not too late into your pregnancy where you feel too lackluster. Around the beginning of third trimester is a great time usually.

If you are experiencing any difficulties and feel unsure about traveling but are cleared for this session by your doctor, we can arrange to possible shoot at your home. I am open to even come to your hospital bed if cleared by your team.

Can i book a session with you at a different location?

My studio is designed to give you a very comfortable and relaxing experience considering the intimate type of shooting we will do, but I do also offer on location work at your favorite spot in Atlanta, or the beautiful farm sessions available at Prospect Farms and other stunning locations throughout the state. I will work with you to come up with the best location to realize your desires for your photo session.

We are not limited to just my studio. I offer in home session and on location sessions pretty much anywhere we are allowed. Some additional fees may be required.

Can i bring anyone else to shoot with me?

You can absolutely include a spouse or little children into your session. We can capture some beautiful moments with you and your children and your growing bump.

I also love intimate moments with partners, this is a perfect way to showcase your growing family.
