What is included in a newborn session?
How can I make the most of my photos?
When do you take newborn sessions?
How much can i expect to spend on my session?
The sessions can vary slightly based on what the focus is but nearly all sessions include:
Online gallery
Tailored posing support
A spacious and beautifully designed studio for your comfort with amenities galore!
Optional immediate family included in session with portraits and group shots
All digital images with options for Heirloom album, enlarged and framed prints, film box and movie book.
To secure your date a non-refundable session fee reserves your session.
After your session, I will develop the film and edit digitals to match which will take about 2 weeks. We will meet to review your images either in studio or in the comfort of your home -- my favorite part! From here we will choose your artwork either film prints, an enlarged photo framed or an album. I have a lot of a la carte options to choose from, but you should definitely plan to secure something physical.
$300 secures your session, and I have collections that include gorgeous physical prints, albums and movie books that range from $1200-$2000 minus the session fee.
All digital images will be made available to you after this second purchase.
Newborn sessions are best captured within the first 2-3 weeks. Most people feel good enough by the second week to come and get those sweet snuggle sessions.
It is recommended this early because baby is very comfy being swaddled and sleeps a ton.
I will stay in contact with you with some gentle text messages to see when is a good time to get your session on the books after birth. You want to book as earliest you can so we can verify that availability is open for your birth month. I will always work with you to adjust as we need to depending on birthing experiences.
If I haven't expressed well by now, I am a physical photographer. I want you to walk away with a physical experience and tangible products. I do not believe images we spend so much time and effort to create, including the fact you are doing the hardest work of growing life - should be collecting digital dust after a month or two on your phone or computer.
Images should be felt and seen. Displaying this work as art is the goal. Remembering the strength and beauty you posses and reflecting with your child as they grow is important. You will only look like this briefly and sometimes be lucky to experience it multiple times.
Most newborn sessions will order a framed enlarged print to hang in the nursery or a film box of matted prints housed in a beautiful linen or glass box. Pairing these prints with a newborn print. Albums are also perfect.
