Frequently Asked Family Questions

You may be wondering a few things

What is included in a family session?

The sessions can vary slightly based on what the focus is but nearly all sessions include:
  • Online gallery
  • Tailored posing support
  • Client Experience Guide with wardrobe support
  • A spacious and beautifully designed studio for your comfort with amenities galore or choose an outdoor location
  • Drone aerial photography and video for outdoor session only - included in the session!
  • Access to client wardrobe
  • Choose a collection with Heirloom album, enlarged and framed prints, film box and movie book or choose from the a la carte menu

How much can i expect to spend on my session?

To secure your date a non-refundable session fee reserves your session.

After your session, I will send over sneak peeks within the first week and finalize images after receiving film scans which can take an additional week. We will meet to review your images either in person or via zoom. From here we will choose your artwork either film prints, an enlarged photo framed or an album.

$300 secures your session. I have collections that offer heirloom physicals like albums, wall art and fine art prints. These sessions range from $1200-$2000 with an a la carte menu available.

All digital images will be made available to you after this second purchase.

Some sessions like outdoor Family Sessions include drone aerial photography and video. The kids LOVE this!

How can i make the most of my photos?

If I haven't expressed well by now, I am a physical photographer. I want you to walk away with a physical experience and tangible products. I do not believe images we spend so much time and effort to create, including the fact you are doing the hardest work of growing a family - should be collecting digital dust after a month or two on your phone or computer.

Images should be felt and seen. Displaying this work as art is the goal. Remembering the strength and beauty you posses and reflecting with your child as they grow is important.

Most newborn sessions will order a framed enlarged print to hang in the nursery or a film box of matted prints housed in a beautiful linen or glass box. Pairing these prints with a newborn print. Albums are also perfect.

What is your editing style?

My editing style is close to true to color, or true to life meaning I render my images as close as possible to how you saw and experienced it the day of.

I also edit my digitals to match my film or look more film-like. Meaning you will see soft grain and softer colors versus the harsh sharpness and over bold colors digitals can give.

Editorial focused means I capture moments and movements that leave you feeling what you see. If you enjoy my portfolio, you will enjoy your images you receive as I edit exactly how you see in my portfolio.

When is the best time of day for family photos?

Golden hour — the hour after sunrise or before sunset — provides the softest, most flattering light. However, in-home or studio sessions allow for flexible timing during the day.

What if my kids don’t cooperate?

That’s okay — I expect wiggles and giggles! My approach is play-based and natural, so I’ll guide your family through fun prompts and activities to capture genuine smiles and connections.

In my client experience guide you will receive, I have excellent tips on how to best prepare your family for the session and gift you with a surprise for after the session to end with a bang!

Do you photograph extended families?

Yes! Extended family sessions are available and a great way to capture grandparents, cousins, and multiple generations together.

Can we include our pets?

Absolutely! Pets are family too. Just let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly.

What happens if it rains?

For outdoor sessions, we’ll reschedule for the next available date, or we can move the session indoors if that fits your vision.
