This is the season when families pile into pumpkin patches, stroll through leafy trails, and make a hundred “just one more” stops at fall festivals. In other words: Atlanta Fall Family Fun at its finest.
But here’s the thing—you don’t just want to do the fall activities. You want to remember them. That’s where photos come in. With a little planning, you can turn those everyday moments into keepsakes that feel straight out of a postcard.

Golden hour is that dreamy window of time just after sunrise and just before sunset when the sun hangs low in the sky. Instead of harsh shadows and squinty eyes, you get:

You don’t have to guess when golden hour is happening—just check a weather or photography app (I like SkyGuide or even just the “sunrise/sunset” times in your weather app). Plan to be outside about an hour before sunset, and you’ll catch the magic as the light gets warmer and softer.
