It’s that time of year! Wait, it’s still 90 degrees outside, even hotter in some other areas. How can it be that time of year already?

Well if you have ever participated in a holiday photography shoot before, you may see they book up crazy fast and as a participant at one of these sessions that we drove over and hour for, whew, we were not ready! The line was backed up out the building and it was pure chaos. By the time we got to the photo part, baby girl was tired as were we and she immediately began screaming in Santas lap.

I mean it’s hilariously cute to look back on, but we were in for an hour drive back home with a very displeased child and wondering if we were going to display symptoms of sickness in the next day or two from the crowds.

Needless to say, I don’t need another Santa mini session image for a while. Or at least until my child can ask for it.

I have found that as I have collected inspiration and seen the possibility of what a gorgeous, relaxed and worthy shoot sessions for the Holidays looks like, I am forced to turn into a different direction. As a photographer that inspires to make everyone feel amazing, look amazing and have memories frozen in time and worthy to be published in the best magazines and framed and hung in the best museums, I have to work differently.

So here is where I am. My first every Holiday session set in my brand new private studio in Stone Mountain, GA. Where my clients can communicate prior to their shoot and confirm best wardrobe and styling as well as get to know me personally. I offer professional makeup + hair styling for one for each session as well as my exclusive offering of film photography. A time honored and highly popular comeback kid of sorts. Film photography is thankfully making it’s debut again and I get to feel like I’m 13 again with my first film camera in hand…that I still shoot with today.

So here it is, drumroll please…..My inspiration for 2024, year one of many, The Studios holiday session theme:

A dream night scape focused on this years most popular trends in event design. Bows! And lots of them. But lets not get this confused with Barbie bows or cheap gift wrapping stick on bows. These are gorgeously draped and dripping bows of chiffon and silk. They evoke a romanticism of decades gone past. Especially when they are wrapped around tapered candlesticks that glow with soft light. Set against an open and light filled room, with a stunningly modern couch, throws a plenty, glittering trees and the sweet smell of fresh baked cookies and hot cocoa.
